The laboratory of Dr. Jiajun Zhu investigates how mammalian cells sense, acquire, and utilize nutrients including glucose, amino acids, nucleotides, vitamins and inorganic ions.<\/p><p style=\"font-size: 20px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400; color: #584d66;\">The laboratory aims to reveal basic principles in the metabolism of these nutrients, and how alterations in the metabolic processes lead to human pathologies such as cancer and age-associated disorders.
